Ever heard of the Unity Gallery?

The Prince is just one of many fascinating artists who have gathered under the colourful umbrella of the Unity Gallery, which the website confesses is “a Joburg creative hub of artists, writers, designers, crafters, youngsters and one or two lunatics”.
Its not just artists at Unity; the collective does, among other things, corporate entertainment, acting as a booking agent for many of the most dynamic artists operating in the city ... from young street poets to famous hip-hop MCs to African storytellers, jazz musicians, poets and artists able to create live art, they have met briefs for big and small clients.
The best way to acquaint yourself with the Unity concept is to visit their website www.unitydesign.co.za – there’s an online shop where you can buy cds or artworks and plenty of short videos to watch.
